Recently I read an article which made me to think apart from science. It was already discovered few centuries back, that there are tiny electrical currents and pulses passing naturally through the body all the time. Some are nerve signals, moving around the brain, from the sense organs such as the eyes to the brain, and from the brain out to the muscles. A muscle also makes electrical pulses when it contracts to cause movement. The faint electrical pulses from the brain can be detected on the skin by sensors, strengthened and displayed on a screen or paper chart. The machine that does this an EEG, electro-encephalograph.

Having an EEG is entirely painless. Sensors stuck on the skin of the detect faint electrical signals coming naturally and continuously from the brain. The patterns of the signals show if the brain is healthy or if there could be a problem. This system was already known but I never thought the signals which get displayed in the chart are of electrical signals. Wow that’s amazing our body is not of only flesh and fats but electrical signals also flow throughout our body. Then after few centuries through our technologies there might be production of electricity through humans and animals which may also lead to awareness of global warming. Let’s see more about this. You might think how this electrical signal passes through our body? Where I too got stuck, but then after browsing, I got to know it was all about neurons.

A neuron (pronounced /ˈnjʊərɒn/ N(Y)OOR-on, also known as a neuron or nerve cell) is an electrically excitable cell that processes and transmits information by electrochemical signaling, via connections with other cells called synapses. Neurons are the core components of the nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral ganglia. A number of specialized types of neurons exist: sensory neurons respond to touch, sound, light and numerous other stimuli affecting cells of the sensory organs that then send signals to the spinal cord and brain. Motor neurons receive signals from the brain and spinal cord and cause muscle contractions and affect glands. Interneuron’s connect neurons to other neurons within the same region of the brain or spinal cord.

Actually I say the neurons are the cells which controls our whole body. And for example you can see it in visual that is the movie AVATAR. Actually when I saw that movie, I could feel the imaginations and creativity only, but when I read about the neurons, then I understood that the concept of movie was all about the neurons and its working has been shown tremendously in the movie. After few years I hope these directors are going to be the scientist of future world. If you miss to watch the movie, then I hope you have done a big mistake in your life.
